So I’m jumping directly to the point, So, I believe that if your communication skills is good enough then yeah, you can easily Crack this interview, Because generally the interviewer don’t have much to ask from you. So in every answer, if you can be able to leave a subtopic or clue in that answer then the interview will definitely ask you from that topic also, and you can easily take your conversation wherever you want. My interview timing was of 30 minutes and in the entire interview, the interviewer asked me only 2 technical questions –
1) Amount of Watts in 1 HP. ( 746 watt )
2) 3rd Law of Thermodynamics ( I had given wrong answer but with good communication and without hesitation )
And finally, I selected in AM/NS.

Hello, my name is Rahul Prusty. I have been selected as a Diploma Engineer at AMNS, and I have completed my diploma in Electrical Engineering.
1. My interview was conducted offline at rourkela odisha.
2. How many interview rounds are there? (Name them) There were two rounds:
Technical Round
HR Round
3. What questions were asked in these rounds? In the Technical Round, the interviewer began by asking for a self-introduction.After my introduction, they asked about my internship, what I worked on, and the skills I learned. They then moved on to technical questions, primarily focused on my favorite subject, Electrical Machines.
Here are the technical questions they asked:
What are the different parts of a motor?
Do you know about the 3-phase induction motor?
How does a 3-phase induction motor work?
What is a rotating magnetic field?
What is Faraday’s Law?
What is Lenz’s Law?
What are the types of 3-phase induction motors?
Additionally, they asked me:
What is the difference between a slip ring induction motor and a squirrel cage induction motor?
• Why is the slip ring induction motor used? What are its advantages and disadvantages?
What are the advantages and disadvantages of a squirrel cage induction motor?
Then, the interviewer asked me several questions related to power factor.
What is power factor?
What is a leading power factor, and what is a lagging power factor?
• Why does current lag in a lagging power factor?
• Why does current lead in a leading power factor?
According to you, what is the best power factor and why?
I answered each question based on my core subject knowledge and practical understanding from my internship experience. The technical questions were of moderate difficulty but required a good grasp of electrical engineering concepts.
In the HR Round, the questions were primarily formalities. They asked:
Do you have any backlogs or year gaps?
• Why do you want to join AMNS?
If selected, will you join the company
5. How to prepare for AMNS India OJT/DET Interview?
It is essential to have a solid understanding of basic concepts from all core subjects. However, you should be particularly strong in at least one subject. In my case, I focused on Electrical Machines. Also, be prepared for practical questions related to internships or projects you have worked on.
6. Any advice for juniors?
Be well-prepared with the fundamentals and stay confident. Also, make sure to have clarity about any internships or projects you’ve worked on, as they will likely ask detailed questions. The HR round is typically a formality, but ensure you have clear reasons for why you want to join the company.
